The Billikens 19 game winning streak came to an end on Thursday night at Chaifetz Arena. And it was to an unlikely foe. Conference rival Duquesne with their 11-15 record came into SLU and handed the Bills their first loss since December 1st with a 71-64 decision over the Billikens.

Poor three point shooting doomed the Bills. They made just four of 23 shots from behind the three point line. 16 turnovers also didn’t help Saint Louis’ effort. Duquense made runs of 8-0 and 10-0 in the second half to pull away for the win. Mike McCall Jr. led the Billikens with 18 points.

The loss is just the third of the season for SLU. Their record falls to 25-3 overall and 12-1 in Atlantic Ten Conference play. The Billikens next game is Saturday at 5:00 PM at VCU.
