Sump pump repair could mean more Bridgeton landfill odors

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The company running the Bridgeton Landfill warns that their could be more odors coming from the site this week.

Crews are working to repair two sump pumps and install a new pumping system. They say the work could result in smells from the landfill.

The owners say they’ve notified St. Louis County officials, and the Missouri department of natural resources. They hope to have the repairs completed by the end of the day on Friday.
