WARRENTON, MO (KTVI) - Bad road conditions caused dozens of accidents around the metro area Sunday, including some along east I-70 in Warrenton that had lanes shut down for 12 hours.

Falling snow and sleet caused many of the accidents, that even involved firefighters out trying to help others.

Along the east and westbound stretch of I-70 in Warrenton, there were at least 6 accidents involving cars and semis that brought traffic to a stand at 11:30 pm Saturday night.
