Winter weather taking its toll on Illinois drivers

WATERLOO, IL (KTVI) – In Illinois folks are preparing for another round of frozen precipitation.

Joe Monroe with IDOT says he wishes that they would have rather received eight inches of snow instead of the mixture of sleet and freezing drizzle. Snow is easier to clear and motorists can get some traction in it.

For others the bitter cold is making life miserable, with the wind and the dropping temperatures making it painful to be outside. While others resided to the fact that winter is not over yet.
