Cardinals Tie and Lose in Split Squad Games in Florida

The Cardinals played two games on Friday at Spring Training in Florida, losing one and tying in the other. In Port St. Lucie, The Cards and Mets played to a 5-5 tie. Oscar Taveras made his Spring debut, going 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Kolten Wong got his first hits of Spring Training. One of Wong’s two hits drove in Taveras.

In the Cardinals other split squad game, they lost to the Marlins 7-3 in Jupiter. Adam Wainwright made his first start of the spring, pitching two shutout innings. Lance Lynn struggled though allowing five runs in one and a third innings. Matt Adams homered for the Cards, hist first of Spring Training.
