COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI) - The Madison County State's Attorney has filed criminal sexual abuse charges against a former Collinsville principal.

Robert Allen Lane, 57, was principal at Collinsville Christian Academy until December 2013.  Authorities say a former student made allegations against Lane about incidents that happened on the school campus during school hours.

Now police believe there may be more victims.  Lane is charged with two counts of Attempted Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. He is out on a $10,000 bond.

Anyone who may have been victimized by Lane is asked to contact the Collinsville Police at 618-301-4444.

It takes a lot of courage to come forward about being sexually abused and this is not an easy thing to do, but it is extremely rare that a child predator has only one victim. Some have many.
So let’s hope that anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Robert Allen Lane, will find the courage to speak up, get help, and report it to law enforcement, no matter how long ago it happened.
Keep in mind your silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others

Yeah it does ya courage to speak out about what happens but the way you are putting it u already found him guilty and the fact is it a he said he said situation. As I said in my post I went to that school and I know the man I question and no others will come up cuz there are none he is inocent but as always we all have to wait and see what evidence they find so again inocent till proven guilty. Also what’s wrong with people making death theats and saying he should be killed you people and when I say you people it mean everyone needs to stop posting hateful stuff and hoping others will come out cuz in my time in the military you hear about things like this and they always say that a person that has had it happen to them are more likly to keep it to themself rather to get everyone in there bizz and that’s the wrong thing but isay this man is a good man

Ok so I went to this school and no person that posts on this total bull of a story will change my mine. I know the man in question and he would never harm or try to sexually assault a student from this school he is a good man and always put the need of others above his own. And to all the peep that are saying he should be killed or whatever look in the mirror he who is with out sin cast the first stone and the answer to that is no one can cast any stone also what happened to innocent until proven guilty and if any one want to say anything to me I’m on Facebook. Oh and this man helped me and mine when my little brother of 17 died after I got back from Afghanistan think on that and wait for a verdict. thank you for your time. Let valor not fail!!!!!!
