ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Friday the 40-foot television at Ballpark Village will be turned on for the first time for the Cardinals Spring Training game.  And we're just weeks away from the grand opening.

Ballpark Village will open in 20 days, but some of the fun is getting started.  Crews have been working on this project since last year. The Cardinals believe it will be a huge draw.  The Cardinals got about $18 million in tax breaks and used around $100 million of their own money on the project.

We're talking about theme restaurants, bars, retail shops and a Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum.

Beginning Friday, fans can log onto and cast a vote their Hall of Fame Museum picks. The ballot includes:

Jim Edmonds
Bob Forsch
Keith Hernandez
Willie McGee
Mark McGwire
Matt Morris
Ted Simmons
Joe Torre

Online voting will run through April 22

The 40-foot LED television will be turned on for the Cardinals Spring Training game so people can enjoy part of Ballpark Village Friday.

Opening ceremony is March 27th, followed by a free concert from Third Eye Blind.

On March 28th, Cardinals Nation, Fox Sports Midwest Live, the Budweiser Brew House and the Drunken Fish will open for business and will host a variety of events all leading up to the Cardinals' home opener April 7.

Hey, I hear there is a “free” concert there on opening day!

Well, that’s actually a lie, because I’m sure the taxpayer is paying for that, too!

P.S. I plan to spend $1,000 to do some work on my home. Where is my $180 tax welfare handout to help pay for it? LOL

    Well, dumbassontheleft,
You get nothing because you have done nothing for your community
but spew your hatred and scare the children in your neighborhood.
