Lincoln County warns against outdoor burning

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – The Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1 is advising county residents against any outdoor burning Tuesday. According to fire officials, the National Weather Service has issued an Elevated Fire Danger alert for the county, stating that ground cover, grass, leaves and other vegetation is very dry and can easily ignite.

Monday the district responded to 19 fire calls, 10 of which were related to brush fires that included two structures, one of which was the result of outdoor burning.
