I-64 reopens in Fairview Heights after down power lines block traffic

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL (KTVI)  All lanes of Interstate 64 in Fairview Heights now open after down power lines stopped traffic this morning. Authorities closed lanes in both directions at Highway 64 and Route 159. Witnesses tell FOX 2 a semi truck slammed into a pole, knocking down the lines.

Traffic was backed up at least three miles in both directions.

    Very true ba – I mean it really isn’t like anyone behind the wheel of any kind of vehicle other than a semi has ever ran into a light pole. It couldn’t have been something like brake failure or anything. Nope, just an untrained truck driver.
