DALLAS, TX – Gloria Campos has had a weekly segment on WFAA-TV called “Wednesday’s Child.” She has been sharing the stories of children in foster care who need adopted since 1989. Last week a 14-year-old boy surprised the retiring anchor in an emotional on-air reunion. He thanked her for helping him find a family.

Ke’onte Cook was featured in 2007. He was adopted, but it fell through. Gloria featured him again in 2009, and a successful adoption followed, according to Huffington Post. Nearly 75 percent of the 350 children she featured found homes.
