(KTVI)-On March 6, Tyler Seddon from Burrillville, RI, turned 7-years-old. For his birthday, Tyler wished to receive cards from his heroes, police officers and firefighters. His story went viral. He ended up receiving more than 1,000.
Tyler is battling Leukemia and needs a life-saving bone marrow transplant as well as blood donations. Tyler has received over 200 units of blood products during his treatments and continues to need more transfusions. Now he’s waiting for a match.
Could you be the match for someone, maybe even Tyler? Step up and join the Be The Match registry and you could possible save a life, maybe Tyler’s. Organizers are especially calling on Illinois first responders to come out in support, but EVERYONE is welcome.
The Red Cross will also be on site holding a blood donation drive.
