ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI)-- The search continues for a nursing student at St. Charles Community College.

Eighteen-year-old Bahia Bisharat was last seen Wednesday. Her family, St. Charles County sheriff's detectives and a private investigator are looking for her.

Since word of her disappearance made the news and social media, there have been a lot of calls about sightings that have proven untrue. The sheriff's department reports Bahia had a conversation with a fellow student about feeling sick, minutes before she vanished.

Tuesday is her 19th birthday.

This girl is too gorgeous for some foul play not to be involved, including drugs. Lets hope it’s not another heroin related situation

  • Ms. G

She was one of my students at the college- she was finishing her RN- (nurse) not drugs. I pray for her safe return.

  • Brittany

Keeping her and her family in my thoughts and prayers. Lets share this on social media as much as possible ,this isn’t the time for speculations abd judgment . There isn’t time for that

    • Todd Gack

Very intolerant and disrespectful to throw in “in Jesus’ name” when it is very likely this family may be Muslim and don’t pray to or worship Jesus. Please try to have more respect and tolerance for other people’s beliefs and there is no need in this situation for you to impose your belief system on others in that manner Trish.

Prayin for safe return. She looks like a clean teen, no drugs. Hopefully she took off with a boy n returns soon.

  • Todd Gack

Very odd that an 18 year old wouldn’t have a cell phone or debit card. Is that a cultural thing with the parents? Did she have a boyfriend/lover? Certainly an 18 year old that pretty is in some kind of relationship.

I hope this young woman has a safe return and for those of you to make comments about your religious beliefs take it somewhere else who cares what religion she is everyone posting is just hoping for a safe return and since we can’t really do anything a bout it praying to what ever god you believe in just shows your making a effort. If a Buddhist wants to pray for me great it would make me happy they are turning to something they strongly believe in hope it could save and make me a better person. I doubt the family who is searching for their little girl cares if different religions are praying her if anything I’m
Sure they feel the community is reaching out in the same hopes she’s a love and okay.

I agree Stephanie. It was completely inappropriate to inject ‘praying in Jesus’ name’ for this likely Muslim girl, and I believe it was done purposely to make a pro Christian and an anti Muslim point. Had the comment been left simply as “I pray for her safe return”, there would be no issue.

I agree w everyone above. Im not going to lower myself to the ignorance that “Todd” or whoever has presented. This page has turned into a never-ending nobody winning debate over religion. it is called freedom of religion, freedom of speech. The lady Trish merely was (like alrdy stated by another person on here) praying to HER God for this young lady’s safe return. Did she demand thwir family believe in her God? No. She took the time to write a selfless comment, encouraging hope and faith. Hers lies in her God and that’s more than ok. U cld say TODD HALL OR GALK im not gna scroll up to look, that u r going to pray to Allah for her safe return. I am POSITIVE that her family would appreciate any type of prayer, and more so than the actual religious aspect is the point that these ppl r taking their time to encourage faith in this turmoil. No matter who u pray to, u have the same goal, which is, that what ur praying about is answered. So just by selfless acts of praying, or hoping, or shoot, even crossing ur fingers if that’s what u do, is a lovely, sweet act for a stranger to take the time to express to someone hurting. Kind words go far when all u feel is hopelessness. Pick ur battles “todd halk” bc this is ridiculous. Can we please get back to the topic at hand- a reminder, it is about a young girl who is missing. The topic isnt what religion is right or imposing religious views. C’mon dude maturity.

    • Todd Gack

Thanks for agreeing with me Lindsey. You are a bit confused though. First, it’s GACK. G-A-C-K. Second, you are correct about religious freedom, but that means tolerance and respect for religious beliefs you might not have. For instance, having the respect and tolerance for people who don’t “pray to Jesus” and recognizing that might be inappropriate in this instance. Or simply having the respect to say ‘pray for her safe return’ and leave it at that rather than trying to impose your beliefs on others. Got it?

    • Todd Gack

Exactly Derek. The lack of respect and tolerance many Christians have for other religions like Islam is frightening.

      • Katie

Hey Gack! Get a friggin life and shut up about religion. You are using a story about a poor young lady who has been kidnapped as a platform for you hatred. Not the place. Why do you feel like you want to argue with everyone? It makes no sense for you to pick a fight with anyone who writes anything on this forum. But that’s probably the point, that you would NEVER say any of these things, let alone anything-not one word, to people if it were in person, but because it’s anonymous and no one can actually see you or touch you, you’ll say these ridiculous things. I bet you are a short, short man, which hopefully you know what that means from the song, with a bald head and a beer belly, so ugly that no one can stand to look at you. Well, then you are matched up pretty well with your a**-ugly personality! I bet in high school you were picked on, shoved in your locker by the jocks, and no girl would even look at you. It all makes perfect sense!

      • Todd Gack

Katie, I didn’t inject religion into the comments on this NEWS story about religion. Other people did, especially those who went out of their way to “pray in Jesus’ name, knowing full well that this young lady might be a Muslim or other nonChristian. I simply pointed out that that is inappropriate and could be construed as disrespectful to the family. Then other ‘Christian’ idiots started spewing their hated for Islam and Muslims, saying they are all trying to take over the world etc, confirming my point. Plus, this is not a prayer vigil or Christian church. This is a news story with a comment section with nothing to do with religion.
Also, where does it say this girl was kidnapped? So far no one knows what happened to her. There was a note left in her car that said goodbye. This could very well be a suicide. Lets hope not, but your lack of understanding and jumping to conclusions is not helping anything. There is no evidence she was kidnapped at this point.
Finally your silly diatribe about short balding men etc is really really pathetic. I am neither short nor balding, but why all the hatred for short bald men? It sounds like you have some real pent up anger and hatred there honey. Did a short balding guy do you wrong? Also, I was never picked on by any jocks, since I was quite the jock myself. I hope that someday you will resolve your issues of hatred and anger and learn about religious tolerance, respect and peace.

  • Kristan

Praying for the safe return of this child. My thoughts are with her family and friends In there fight to find there loved one.

  • Tara

Lighten up, Todd. First off, do you even know for certain this woman is Muslim? And I love how you tie Muslim and religious freedom into one sentence. Last time I checked, once you accept Allah there is NO turning back. Not much freedom in that scenario. Anyway, would you have been so defensive if you assumed this girl was Christian or Jewish and some Muslim put a comment about praying to Allah? I doubt it. Christianity is not perfect….but Islam is on a mission to take over the freaking world one country at a time. It’s not a secret and world domination does not sound peaceful to me.

I am sending out positive vibes for this girls safe return.

    • Todd Gack

Thanks for proving my point Tara. Your supposed Christian hatred and lack of tolerance and respect for other religions is exactly what I have pointed out. Your hatred and disrespect and ridiculous prejudice against Muslims is exactly why people who inject their religious beliefs into a news story in some vain attempt to make themselves look holy is so damaging and counterproductive. Your ridiculous hatred for those that don’t believe as you do is pathetic.

      • Tara

I don’t hate religion. I am just mainly amused by it. Kinda like you. You are funny. I’m actually thinking of becoming a Hindu. Rock on, Toddster.

  • chris

I hope this girl is found safe. What the hell is wrong with you people know one cares about your or anyone elses religious belief… its NOT ABOUT YOU GOT IT

    • Todd Gack

Exactly, which is why “praying in Jesus’ name” is so inappropriate in this case and is an attempt to call attention to oneself, ie ‘look at me, I’m a Christian, see how special and devout I am’.

  • Sarah

Please stop taking the main message of finding this poor girl into a forum to be something else such as micromanaging someone’s well intended comments, especially the ‘Todd’ person. It’s pretty pathetic that you are trying to state that someone else’s comment should be objective and not mention Jesus, when you are being subjective by stating that she is most likely Muslim. How hippocratical. Just stop already. Praying for her safe return and for the proper resources to find her.

    • Todd Gack

Thanks for proving my point Sarah. This is a news story and comment section, not a prayer vigil or Christian revival meeting and should not be used to worship deities that are not even recognized by this girl or her family.

  • Katie

I hope and pray to God that this beautiful young lady is found alive and well very soon. It’s very scary to hear that another young lady who looks very similar to this young lady was close to what she thought was kidnapped in St. Peters. The other young lady who was approached and grabbed is proof that this is a case of someone kidnapping young ladies and not drugs or anything else. This is very terrifying and I truly hope all young women, especially those who are similar looking with brown hair and brown eyes at the same height and weight, are being especially cautious, watching their backs and fronts. I hope the police catch this person soon, but the young lady who was taken was absolutely gorgeous, and obviously smart and independent. She and her family will be in my prayers.

    • Todd Gack

Again, jumping to conclusions that she was kidnapped. There is no such evidence of a kidnapping at this point. You would hope that by now the police would have checked any surveillance cameras that show the lot. If she was approached in the parking lot, assuming there is a camera, surely that would be seen in broad daylight. And a note that says ‘goodbye’ left in her car would not indicate a kidnapping. Please exercise more common sense and less histrionics in any future comments.

  • Lloyd Braun

I pray that Todd’s hand gets caught in a garbage disposal, and this young lady turns up safe and sound very soon.

  • Mellody

This post is from this young girls sister.

Thank you to everyone who came out today and to all who couldn’t but still prayed for us. Times like these unite us all and our family is extremely appreciative to each and everyone one of you. It was very cold this morning but that didn’t stop you guys and girls. You give us hope and motivation. Again thank you.

    • Todd Gack

So any news or progress yet Mellody? My thoughts are with your family. I hope it just turns out to be a situation where she just had to get some time away for a bit.

  • Anita

Of all the comments I’ve read on this thread, Todd, yours is the most condescending, disrespectful, and intolerant. My God is everywhere, including on this thread so I will pray to Him anywhere I am about anything I want. I’m praying this young woman is found alive and well, no matter what her religion is. You act like an martyr trying to defend her and her religion that you missed the whole point of the care and concern expressed for this beautiful young woman and her family. My God, and yes, I am a Christian, loves EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT RELIGION THEY PRACTICE.

    • Todd Gack

Anita, urging people to be respectful and sensitive to other people’s religion and faith, like understanding and respecting that a Muslim family might not “pray in Jesus’ name’ is ME being intolerant? Seriously? Are you really that stupid? I am the one calling for tolerance and respect by these Christian evangelicals trying to impose their beliefs and practices on this likely Muslim family. You are a nutcase for not understanding that.

  • Anita

And why do you assume that just because she is pretty she has to be in some kind of a relationship. That’s presumptuous on your part. I know a lot of single, beautiful, strong, independent, smart women and nurses who are or have navigated through life without being in a relationship. Your comment bordered on sexist.

    • Todd Gack

Hey Anita, try pulling the corncob out of your privates. I posed a QUESTION that IF she was in a relationship of some kind, heterosexual or lesbian, then getting some information might be helpful. Your paranoid over the top rant reveals some deep seeded relationship issues you must have that cause you to strike out so angrily and with such venom. I am sorry that your own life appears to be so sad and pathetic.
