Oklahoma woman arrested for Cocaine possession

EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – A Wagoner, Oklahoma woman has been arrested and charged with unlawful possession of the control substance, cocaine. 26-year-old Shanita Mckellop was taken into custody on Saturday, March 29th by Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy, who pulled over the car she was a passenger in for a lighting violation on Martin Luther King Drive near Godfrey Road in Godfrey, Illinois.

The driver of the car was arrested for driving on a suspended license, and during a search of the vehicle, a package of cocaine was found in the purse of Mckellp.

McKellop was booked into the Madison County Jail, and her bail has been set t $15,000.
