St. Clair County to lift Burn Ban on April 1st

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, IL (KTVI) – St. Clair County announced Monday, that the current burning ban will be lifted on April 1st. The lifting of the ban is being done on the advice and consultation with the St. Clair County Emergency Management, National Weather Service and local emergency responders.

Though conditions are not ideal for burning, drought conditions have improved to allow the lifting of the ban with forecasted precipitation.

Residents are reminded that the lifting of the ban is not immediate, and they should still use caution when burning yard waste. Officials are also stressing that residents have alternate means of disposing of yard waste.
