Downed power line in Belleville forces Metro to shuttle commuters by bus

BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI)  – A downed power line between Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Illinois and Scott Air Force Base has forced Metro Transit officials to shuttle commuters by bus.

Metro announced Thursday afternoon that Red Line passengers can expect 20 minute delays as it provides buses to shuttle commuters from the College Station to the Shiloh-Scott Station.   The power line causing the problem was downed during severe weather Thursday morning.

And with more severe weather forecast for Thursday evening, Metro is warning all passengers to expect possible delays if weather causes further service disruption.
