Nine cars involved in crash on WB I-255 at Telegraph

SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – Traffic is flowing again in south St. Louis County after a morning crash that shut down part of Interstate 255.   Four lanes closed  at Telegraph Road after nine cars were involved in a chain reaction accident.

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. Friday.    At least two people were taken away by ambulance, but their conditions are not known.  The accident happened in the westbound lanes and traffic was backed up for several miles.

The highway reopened around 8:20 a.m.  Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

    Sounds like 8 tailgaters to me. But what’s new. People in St. Louis treat the commute like a NASCAR race. as if there’s a penalty for arriving in second place.

    I know one of the people who was hurt in this accident. She is doing okay. She was driving and a PT Cruiser was merging really fast from the ramp onto the highway and hit a pick-up truck from the right and then the truck slid around and my friend’s car got smashed and turned around doing a complete turn around and then all of the other cars got jacked up. ALL because of ONE idiot. 1 person!
