Cardinals GM agrees to two-year contract extension

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis Cardinals and General Manager John Mozeliak have agreed to a two-year contract extension. The announcement Saturday morning means Mozeliak, 45, will be with the team through the 2018 season.

Mozeliak has worked in the Cardinals front office for 19 seasons, serving as GM the last six. In that time, the Cardinals have gone to the postseason four times, winning the World Series in 2011.  In 2011 & 2013, the team was recognized by Baseball America as the Organization of the Year  for their success in scouting and player development.
