lang-jack-arrest-date-04-16-2014(KTVI) – A 76-year-old Wisconsin man is accused of murdering his wife and then trying to commit suicide because she was “nagging him.”

Jack Lang was arrested after authorities say he shot his wife June on Wednesday, April 16.  Police found a .22 caliber revolver in the home.   According to police documents, Lang said he and his wife went to lunch Wednesday afternoon.

He told police during the drive, his wife called him names and they continued to argue on the drive back.

When they got home, Lang told authorities, he “just lost it,” and shot his wife in the face. He then told authorities he tried to shoot himself, but the bullet just grazed him.

If convicted, Lang could face life in prison.
