Ticket sales increase after Blues game one win

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Thursday night's big playoff victory by the St. Louis Blues meant a big economic and emotional lift for the team and fans.

Everybody is talking about the thrilling overtime win and the winning numbers are showing up at the ticket office as well.

That is just what the doctor ordered for a team that ended the regular season with six losses in a row, limping into the playoffs, how would that affect the sales of playoff tickets.

Alexander Steen merchandise is selling well at the Blues store in Scottrade Center, the Swedish native scored the winning goal Thursday night and we found a family shopping at the Blues store from Stockholm Sweden. Steen's a hero in his home country as well.

Saturday’s playoff game is expected to sell out by game time.

Friday night they honored the St. Louis Blues at Fridays on Clark at Ballpark Village. Blues hall of famer Brett Hull made an appearance.
