(KTVI) – The Yankees Michael Pineda was getting beat up on the mound in the first inning of last night’s game against the Boston Red Sox and in the second inning, he came back with something shinny on his neck.

So Boston’s coach had the home plate umpire check it out.  The ump threw Pineda out when he realized it was pine tar.

The worst part is that Pineda appeared to have something on his hand the last time they played the Red Sox.
