Washington University student in custody after hit-and-run injures two

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Two people were struck in a hit and run that involved an SUV and a Metro bus on Sunday night. One student is now in custody after fleeing the scene of the accident that injured two Washington University sophomores.

It happened near Forsyth on Hoyt around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. An SUV hit the students and at some point it slammed into a Metro bus, according to Washington University Police.

Shana Zucker and Richard Lee had just returned to campus from an off-campus formal on Sunday evening.

Both remain in fair condition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
