CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI) – We now know just how many people came out to see the Blue Angels and the F-18 Super Hornet.

An estimated 175,000 people attended the event at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield. The huge crowds did cause significant traffic problems in the area.

It was a great show, I was there a total of 9 hours and saw not one sign of violence, may have been, but none that I know of or anyone else I knew there. Hard to believe, 175,000 people and no problems, other than traffic when leaving.

Rebel-I agree. But, they were spending it whether I went or not. I took 7 kids with me that had never seen an air show. They really enjoyed it. Had it been in St. Louis, no way would I have went much less taken children with me. Yes, a lot of money wasted, but I tried to not let it go to waste.
