ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The Muny in Forest Park could soon enjoy a cheaper electric bill. The Kirberg Company donated at $75,000 solar-power system.

Just in time for the Muny’s 96th season, the 80-module system will produce 25,000 kilowatt hours of energy for the theatre operations. Management said the goal was not just to get a smaller electric bill, but to leave a smaller carbon footprint.

Kirberg installs roofs across the United States and is based in St. Louis. The panels were installed by crews from Microgrid Solar, also based in St. Louis.
