ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The defense attorney calls out a judge for for falling asleep on the bench.  This was a wake up call for the Illinois judge in the Nicholas Sheley murder trial. It happened during a video presentation Friday.

The judge had to be awakened by the clerk after the lights were turned back on in the courtroom. The defense attorney said it wasn't the first time. The judge said he understood, but had not missed any part of testimony.

Sheley is on trial for the murdering four people back in 2008. He's already been convicted of killing two illinois men that same week and two deaths in Jefferson County.
