Car wash employee shot during robbery attempt

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - A car wash employee remains in critical condition after being shot during a robbery attempt that happened around 5 pm Friday evening. The armed suspect walked into the car wash on south Vadeventer and Clayton and announced a robbery.

A 60-year-old employee began to struggle with the suspect, who fired a shot hitting the man in the stomach.

The suspect then ran to a white Chevy Impala with three other men inside and sped away.

The gunman is described as a 20 to 30-year-old male, six feet tall and around 200 pounds. He was wearing a red cap and jacket.
