MEMPHIS, TN – A newlywed couple in Tennessee is facing a wave of criticism on social media for something they did during their wedding last month. Shona Carter-Brooks and Johnathan brooks got married may 12th near Nashville. Their wedding was just one month after the birth of their daughter.

Carter-Brooks posted a picture from their wedding ceremony to Facebook. It shows the newborn going down the aisle on the train of her dress.

She responded to negative reaction to the picture, saying the baby was awake and safely secured to the dress and she was never in danger. Carter-Brooks she say she doesn’t regret her decision.

“Our 1-month-old was awake and well secured on my train. Most important, while y’all got ya feelings in us, we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!!” the woman wrote on Facebook.

I agree. It’s a little tacky but to all those worried about the baby, what’s the worst that could happen? She slide off in the floor?? Big deal. Shes not going to get hurt

    This could start a trend.
Drag all your kids tied behind you with ropes when you get remarried. Show the groom what he is in for if he decides he wants more.

What brainless person would even think of something so dumb???!?!?! Does this women not have arms to carry the baby in??? Poor kid is going to go through life thinking she drug her parents lives down cause she was born. STUPID STUPID STUPID! And of course the mother is a bible thumping idiot justifying everything by what she thinks her book of fairy tales says. I see divorce within 3 years.

Option B: The kid wasn’t the grooms, and it was meant to be an altar surprise.
Option C: Somebody at the wedding put the kid on the dress as a wedding present.

Hey Jad, that book of fairytales u speak of gives this womans life purpose, sounds like you could use some. When shes feeding the poor and praying for the sick. …..what are YOU doing? I wouldn’t be so quick to judge if i were u, sounds you have plenty yourself. :)
