ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Getting a good night's sleep may help guard your brain against Alzheimer's. A researcher in the Netherlands studied two dozen middle-aged men, with normal sleep habits. Half of the men were allowed to sleep normally while the other half were kept awake. The doctors found that one night of sleep raised the protein build up that is found in many Alzheimer's patients.
Those who were able to get a good night's rest had normal protein levels.
