(KTVI)– Madison County Animal Control authorities confirm one of two pit bulls connected to a series of fatal pet attacks has been euthanized, and the other has been released.

The dog’s owners have already been cited for allowing them to get loose.

The dogs have jumped neighborhood fences and even gone through doggie doors into homes to attack other animals.

We’re told the less aggressive of the two pit bulls was put down. Animal control officials are trying to have the other one declared a dangerous dog.
