Police looking for suspect in Granite City bike path hit-and-run

(KTVI)- The Granite City Police are trying to solve a fatal hit and run that occurred on a bicycle and walking path.

On Friday morning, a walker found the body of 35-year-old Granite City resident, Jack Hoppe, near Victory Drive and Terminal.

Even though it occurred on a bike and walk path, autopsy results show that Hoppe was struck and killed by a motor vehicle.

Police say the incident happened sometime between 9:40 pm. Thursday night and 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.
