(KTVI)- Want to be a tourist in your own backyard and win money doing it? If you are ages 8 to 18 (entering grades 3 through 12 in fall 2014), you are invited to submit your Ultimate St. Louis Tourist experience for a chance to win $500.

The competition is being sponsored by the St. Louis Civic Pride Foundation.

Contestants must visit at least three St. Louis area attractions then write about their journeys in 500 words or less. Participants can also share their St. Louis experiences through photos and videos.

A cash prize of $500 each will be awarded to one winner in five categories: Grades three and four; grades five and six; grades seven and eight; grades nine and 10; and grades 11 and 12. The winning entries may be featured in the St. Louis CVC`s 2015 Official Visitors Guide and will be posted on for a full year.

Entries will be accepted online until midnight, September 2, 2014.
