BRECKENRIDGE HILLS, MO (KTVI) – The controversy over the Breckenridge Hills Police Department being disbanded, may be over. The Breckenridge Hills city council voted six to one Monday night to keep its own police force.

Last month FOX2 reported that the city was considering outsourcing its police protection to St. Ann.

At the time, the St. Ann police chief said some of the Breckenridge Hills officers would be hired on to the St. Ann police force.

Public opposition to the proposal led to the vote to keep the Breckenridge Hills police force intact.

Glad Breckenridge police can keep their jobs! They all do a wonderful job and respond promptly to calls and St. Ann police just can’t measure up to them. The police in Breckenridge are friendly, polite, and do a phenomenal job!
