JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) _ The Missouri State Board of Education is preparing to weigh the future for St. Louis County’s unaccredited Normandy school district.

State education officials voted last month to dissolve the district at the end of June and replace it with the new Normandy Schools Collaborative starting July 1. The new system will be governed by a panel whose members are selected by the State Board of Education.

Several details for the system still must be worked out, and the state board was scheduled to discuss them at a meeting Monday in Jefferson City.

The Normandy district lost its state accreditation in January 2013.

What a mess! Does anyone think for one minute that this system is going to change? They failed before they lost accreditation, and they will fail if give the system back. Nothing has changed, same students, same administrators, and same Teachers.

If they ask my opinion, they need to seek out Charter type schools. By that I mean not charter school that has an agenda to do social experiment in teaching other JUNK other then Reading, Writing, and Math. They also should feed them meals, both Lunch and Breakfast. No excuse not to feed them. If they fail, meaning the students in that settings then reform schools are in order. If these kids commit crimes as juvies, the MOM and DAD do the time. Then we will see a different paradigm in the country. This not just BLACK kids this is all KIDS of all colors.and races.
