ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Feds are seizing millions of dollars from synthetic drug dealers first exposed by the Fox Files years ago. Investigator Chris Hayes first told you about Pam Tabatt almost four years ago. Now, she may finally be out of business.
Tabatt is under indictment, along with her son and a 3rd defendant, accused of shipping chemicals in from China and packaging the synthetic drugs under different names to make the drugs sound like harmless products.
This federal indictment came down last week. It was under seal until June 17, 2014.
The indictment follows this Federal raid from last September. Agents stormed Nights of Rave in St. Louis County, South 94 Bait, Tackle and Smoke Shop in St. Charles County, Tabatt’s personal home, and what appeared to be a synthetic drug distribution center.
This came after years of coverage by the FOX Files. Tabatt seemed unapologetic.
But Tabatt reportedly continued selling, even after last year’s raids.
The latest Federal action appears to be a crippling blow, with millions of dollars frozen in various accounts along with five vehicles and ten pieces of property.
The FOX Files checked their busiest store that was open just last week. It’s now closed,
