ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Most of us need a jolt of caffiene to kickstart our mornings and soon your cup of coffee could kickstart your car!  British researchers have developed a method that turns used coffee grounds into biodiesel.

By soaking coffee grounds in organic solvent oils, biodiesel can be extracted from them.  Twenty-two pounds of used coffee grounds can produce over a half-gallon of fuel.  Researchers say if every Starbucks in the U.S. recycled its waste this way, the company could produce more than 5,000  gallons of biodiesel per day.
