ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – It’s “Dump the Pump Day” and people around the country are being urged to use mass transit systems instead of driving.  In conjunction with this effort, Citizens for Modern Transit has launch a new Try & Ride program aimed at getting people who have never used the transit system in Missouri and Illinois to give it a chance for their work commute.

Registration for the “Try and Ride Program” opened this week and people who sign up will receive a personalized route for their commute, one month of complimentary tickets to ride the system, and in the event of an emergency, a subsidized cab ride to their destination through the Guaranteed Ride Home program.

To register visit www.cmt-stl.org.
