ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - New guidelines are now in place for student transfers. The Missouri Department of Education recommended reducing the tuition unaccredited districts pay other districts receiving transfers.  The department also said that in the future, students should be required to have attended an unaccredited district for at least one semester before they could leave.

The new rules will not affect current transfer students, but will affect those who have applied for transfer going forward.
