East St. Louis schools get $10 million grant

(KTVI) – A Metro East school district is getting more money.  East St. Louis School District 189 is getting a $10.5 million grant from the Illinois State Board of Education.

The money will be used to improve student performance by hiring more tutors and offering more peer mentoring programs.
