ALTON, IL (KTVI) - Alton police say a Facebook tip helped them solve 16 open cases.  Now 10 people are facing charges.

Authorities say seven juveniles and three adults were charged with theft.  The tip for one case lead to clearing a large number of car burglaries, thefts and other related cases.

"The lead provided caused a single burglary investigation to snowball into numerous cases cleared, evidence recovered and multiple suspects arrested," said Alton Lt. Scott Golike.   "The information the citizen provided was relatively small but the impact, felt throughout several Alton neighborhoods, was big."

The adults charged are Jordan Flowers, 22, Keithsaun Lytle, 18, and Yonzae Reed, 18.  Lytle, pictured below, and Reed are not in custody.
