(KTVI) – Newell Rubbermaid, the maker of Graco car seat harness buckles, have agreed to expand a recall.

Early this year, 3.8 million defective seat belt harnesses were recalled because they didn’t unlatch properly, trapping children in the seat.   Now an additional 1.9 million infant car seats have been recalled.

According to the Wall Street Journals, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigation which led to the recall.

Tuesday, Graco said it would offer a free replacement buckle to any consumer.   There have been no injuries reported related to the car seats.

The seats were made between July 2010 and May 2013.
