How to calm your pets during fireworks

(KTVI) - Many communities will be celebrating Independence Day with fireworks.  And if you have a pet, you know how those loud bangs and bright flashes can freak your animals out and often cause them to run away.

Jeremy Bond from "Hope Rescue" has a few pointers on keeping them calm.
* Create a quiet place to put pets during fireworks displays
* Keep TV or Radio on to help drown out fireworks
* Makes sure pet tags are up to date so they can get back home
* If outdoors, keep pet on leash
* Thundershirts
