WARRENTON, MO (KTVI) – Local farmers in the bi-state area are seeing record producing corn crops. If farmers get another half inch of rain in July and the humidity stays at a minimum; this could be the highest projected corn crop in over a decade but that’s not the most ideal situation if you’re a farmer.

Right now a bushel is at $4.30 and if the weather cooperates through July, the only thing farmers need is demand. But if everyone across the nation has a good crop local farmers may not see as much green in their pockets.
