ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- If you ask Jaedon Deskins, he'll tell you how much he enjoys day camp at the Demetrious Johnson Foundation.

"You get a lot of discipline from it," says Jaedon Deskins.  "You get lots of social skill abilities; you get to interact with different kids and personalities.  You get to go different places, new environments, new people new things; it's just a really good program."

And on Friday's program, a sneak peak at the Universoul Circus that will be performing at Jamestown Mall July 22 through the 28th.

But Friday, they were taking part in a community day.

"There's so much violence going on our streets," says Demetrious Johnson the founder of the Demetrious Johnson Foundation.  "Everyday you look up and watching the news and you see these young folks being killed and murdered.  This is an opportunity to get them in a positive environment where they can see if you do the right thing, good things can happen for you."

From flips and twists to steps and spins, children of all ages got to a chance to see some local acrobats from circus harmony as well as professionals from the Universoul Circus.

The community day served as an opportunity to show that anything is possible when you use your head.

"We all have visions when we're young we want to be somebody or something," says Cedric Walker the founder of the Universoul Circus.  "Hold onto that vision of wanting to be because that is your contribution to life."

And sometimes big impressions can happen, outside of a big top tent.

they went to Jamestown Mall. Does this suggest less than good luck to where ever they roost?
