Lockdown lifted at St. Mary’s Hospital following threatening phone call

(KTVI) – St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri has re-opened its doors.  The hospital was placed on lockdown early Friday morning, after receiving a threatening phone call to the facility.

Richmond Heights police were called to the scene to investigate.  They were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

An official statement has been released:

“St. Mary’s Health Center holds the safety and security of our patients, staff and visitors as a top priority.  We received an unsubstantiated threat earlier today that placed us in lockdown.  While we didn’t believe it was directed at St. Mary’s, we take all matters like this very seriously.

After a thorough investigation of this unsubstantiated threat by Richmond Heights Police we have re-opened our entrances. However enhanced security will continue to be present.

We ask that you please direct any further questions regarding the investigation to Richmond Heights Police.”
