Get certified to be a teacher in Missouri

(KTVI)- Have you thought about getting teacher certification? The American Board of Certification for Teacher Excellence wants you to know how you can earn their teacher certification online for less than the cost of a college course.

Career-changers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, parent volunteers, and school staff are encouraged to attend the classes.

The American Board is a DESE-approved, education nonprofit organization. It is authorized to certify Missouri educators in the following subject areas:

  • General Science (5-9, 9-12)
  • Biology (9-12)
  • Chemistry (9-12)
  • Physics (9-12)
  • Math (5-9, 9-12)
  • History (5-9, 9-12)
  • English Language Arts (5-9, 9-12)
  • Elementary Education will be offered in August of 2014
