(KTVI) – The Cardinals get a day off before hosting the Tampa Bay Rays.  Sunday night at Busch, the Redbirds tried to keep Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaaw from getting his 12th win of the season.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, Kershaw gave up a long ball off the bat of Peter Bourjos.  It was a two-run homer for Bourjos and tied the game at 3 -3.

The Dodgers would answer in the 9th inning. Adrian Gonzalez get a base hit into right field  and pinch runner Miguel Rojas comes around third and crosses home plate to give the Dodgers a 4 to 3 lead.

That was the final score.
