(KTVI) – Airline security fees are ready for take off!  Starting Monday, the Transportation Security Administration will increase $5.60 per flight.

All connections that last longer than four hours will count as a separate flight.  The fee was previously $2.50 for non-stop flights and $5 for connecting flights.

The TSA estimates the hike will generate an additional $23.8 billion dollars over the next 10 years.
