(KTVI)- Nissan is the latest manufacturer to fall to a recall.

More than 26,000 vehicles have been recalled for defective air bags.

The air bag inflators can rupture causing metal fragments to fly out when the air bags are deployed in crashes, which can potentially cause serious injuries.

The recall affects certain lines of Nissan’s Infiniti, Maxima, Pathfinder and Sentras from 2002 – 2004.
