The Milwaukee Brewers came in to Busch Stadium Friday night and pounded the Cardinals ace pitcher Adam Wainwright for seven runs in five plus innings, winning game one of their three game series 7-4. Aramis Ramirez collected three hits, knocked in two runs, including his 13th home run of the season to lead the Milwaukee attack. Jonathan Lucroy drove in three runs, while teammate Ryan Braun knocked in the other two Brewers runs. Wainwright suffered the loss to drop his season record to 13-6. Matt Holliday homered for the Cardinals and Matt Carpenter drove in three runs with a single and a triple, but not enough to come back from a 7-0 deficit. The loss drops the Cards three games back of first place Milwaukee in the NL Central division race.
