FOREST PARK (KTVI)-It’s easy to see how an audience can fall in love with the lead in the Muny’s production of “Grease.” Taylor Louderman is taking center stage this week as “Sandy” and she’s fulfilling a lifelong dream.

“As a little girl, I came to the Muny and dreamt about starring on the Muny stage because I hadn’t gone to New York City to see what Broadway was all about.”

Eventually she got to the big lights on Broadway with after landing the starring role in the musical “Bring It On.”

Louderman has big shoes to fill. Generations have grown up with “Grease” and Olivia Newton John as Sandra Dee. But the young actress doesn’t disappoint.

“And to see her playing Sandy, it’s magical because she just embraces this role and tells her story through the role and it’s so exciting,” says Larry Pry with the Muny.

Originally from Bourbon, Missouri, Louderman was in the kids and teens chorus at the Muny. She’ll have lots of friends and family in the seats for this week’s shows.
