Man’s body found after Washington Park fire

WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (AP) _ Authorities say the body of a 26-year-old man has been found in the charred remains of a house in the southwestern Illinois village of Washington Park.

The Belleville News-Democrat (http://bit.ly/UO1RcM) reports that St. Clair County deputy coroner Dean Darnall says Arnold Lark was pronounced dead about 5 a.m. Monday.

Illinois state fire marshals are investigating the fire’s cause.

Lark’s funeral arrangements are pending.
